Wendell Petersen (Da Hustler) is well known for his innovative ideas and thinking. His vision of turning old into new is at the core of his modification. His Mobile Food Outlets include a tricycle modified into a sound blasting food stall, as well as a Toyota Tuff Van, master crafted into a unique mobile eatery.

The product that is sold is known as the Hustle Dog. This is an innovative take on the boerewors roll/hotdog. A tasty boerewors, lamb, tikka chicken or vegetarian option are rolled up in a Cape Malay Style Roti and served with a choice of handmade salsas and fresh salads.

The Hustle Van and Bike has been featured in newspapers (Die Rapport and The Voice), radio (Good

Hope FM, RSG), television (Kwela on Kyknet and CTV News), and music videos (DJ Codax, Suburban Menace, Cabcor. Also collaborating with graffiti artists like Mak1One, Mr Ekse, Aim1 and Ella. 

FOOD TRUCK INFORMATION

REQUIREMENTS: Only gas is used in the Hustledog Food van, with Certificate of Compliance

STALL FRONTAGE: The stalls facade illustrates Da Hustler’s style, a hip hop culture with graffiti murals on the van. The food is sold from the Hustle Van and the Hustle Bike is used to sell dessert items.

STALL DEPTH: The stall width is the length on the van, 5m x 3m. The depth of the stall is 7m x 5m, allowing for food preparation, refuse facilities and other displays.
